Pro bakers, take note. Halloween’s bringing a new opportunity to gain local exposure for your bakery by simply doing what you love to do. The Business Before Beauty: Halloween Baking Contest invites expert bakers to show off their skills with a fun twist, one befitting of the season.
The competition will take over North Haven’s Modern Day Wellness Center for its inaugural event on Monday, October 16th. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. when bakers man their stations. You’ll have a few hours to create baked goods that range from Halloween-themed cakes, cupcakes, and cookies to pumpkin bread, muffins, and pies. A professional photographer will be on hand to snap stunning photos of the finished products. Then a trio of locally renowned foodies will float around the competition floor tasting and inspecting the fun confections, ready to award first place to the best bakers in each category. It’s free to participate in the event, but donations are appreciated and advanced registration is required.
